| Mission | The mission of the Parent Mentors is to provide the necessary support and resources to families of children with disabilities and the professionals who serve them. It is the ultimate goal to build positive, collaborative partnerships between families and schools to benefit students with disabilities. |
| Services | *Guide families through the special education process, including rights and responsibilities *Listen and provide support to families and educators *Provide information and resources to families and school personnel about community resources *Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other meetings at parent or school requests *It's availible to any participating district at no cost to district or parents (funded by a state grant) *Facilitates parent/school partnerships *Researches and provides information on specific disabilities *Organizesand conducts workshops for parents and educators |
