Baker College Career Scholarships

Up to $6,400 in scholarships to help finance specialized career training at any Baker College campus.  Majors include education, computer information systems, business, engineering, health sciences, nursing, and human services.  May 1, 2015

Rhodes State College

Seniors can submit one application for over 50 scholarships.  Personal essay on “How one of your life experiences influenced your development” and “How a scholarship will help you meet your educational and career goals.”  December 5, 2014

Defiance College Scholarship Day Programs

Ohio resident, 3.0 GPA, 23 ACT, considering a career in teaching math and/or science. January 23, 2015

IPFW Chapman and Summit Scholars Program

Full tuition, fees, room, board, and textbooks for four years.  SAT of 1950 or 29 ACT and rank in top 5% of class; or SAT of 2100 or 32 ACT w/out consideration of rank.  Must attend scholarship competition in February. December 15, 2014

Queen Jubilee XL Pageant

$3000 awarded to senior females competing in the Peony Pageant held in Van Wert.  Application and 250 word essay required  November 28, 2014

Burger King Scholars Program

Senior with a 2.5 GPA, plan to attend full time at a 2 or 4 year college or university  December 15, 2014

Mediacom Communications

$1000 scholarships given to seniors attending an accredited post-secondary institution  February 16, 2015

AXA Achievement Scholarship

One winner from each state, based on overcoming personal challenges, volunteering in the community, and  be a senior planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college full time.   February 1, 2015

Playing with Purpose

Sophomore, junior, or senior with a 2.0 GPA, varsity letter in one or more sports.  There is a religious affiliation with this scholarship. February 1, 2015

Eastern Michigan University

$2,500-$7,600 given based on academic record and ACT/SAT score. March 1, 2015

Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools

220 scholarships available ranging from $2,000-$44,000 for seniors planning to attend a career college such as DeVry, ITT, and Harrison college.  See the guidance office for complete list of participating schools. April 10,2015

 Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland Creative Writing Contest

11th or 12th graders can submit an essay, short story, poem, or play around the ideass of our economy in the future.  Submissions will be judged on comprehension, organization, conclusions, creativity, and clarity. March 2, 2015

Ohio Oil & Gas Energy Education Foundation
