Welcome to Antwerp Elementary School
Excellence is the standard in the Antwerp Local School District. Our district has earned the "Excellent" distinction on our school report card six out of the last eight years, including the last four years in a row. We thank you for entrusting us with your children. Our faculty and staff take our responsibility to educate your child very seriously. We take great care in providing our students with a positive well-rounded educational experience. Parent support is an integral part of a successful school experience and we encourage and value your input and communication. It is important to us that you are aware of your child's progress at school. We encourage you to access Progressbook on our web page and check your child's scores. Additionally, please feel free to contact our teachers at school by phone or email. Keeping open lines of communication is important to us. Again, we thank you for sending your children to Antwerp Elementary School, where Excellence is the standard. Together, we can build a strong educational foundation for our students to build upon.

Announcements
- October 16th marks the end of the first grading period. We will get grade cards sent home sometime the following week. We hope you are taking advantage of Progressbook and keeping up with your child's grades on-line. If you need your log-in information, contact the elementary office.
- The PTO fundraising items will be delivered on October 22 and can be picked up immediately after school until 5:30 PM in the auditeria. Please be on time to pick up your orders. Many of these items are frozen and we do not have freezer-space to accomodate items that are not picked up. (If you are coming at school dismissal time and want your child to meet you in the auditeria, please plan ahead and write a note telling your child's teacher.)
- Parent-Teacher Conferences have again been scheduled to coincide with the Thanksgiving break. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Monday, Nov. 23 from 4:00-8:00 PM and Tuesday, Nov. 24 from 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM. We will have a teacher inservice on Monday, Nov. 23, with NO ClASSES for any students. Because of the conferences and the Thanksgiving holiday, we will have NO CLASSES for any students (K-12) November 23-27. You will receive a letter soon to sign up for an appointment. Please be prompt in responding to this letter. Our goal is 100% parent attendence for our students.
- As cooler weather approaches, please send warm clothes for recess time. Our playground is exposed to the wind and gets pretty chilly. We will be taking the students out unless the weather turns bitterly cold so please send jackets, hats and gloves.
